Since moving to Louisiana, I’ve dabbled in the culture of traditional foods. I’m a regular at Popeyes but I’ve also reached beyond the drive thru to sample alligator and fried catfish covered in crawfish étouffée. I’ve even sampled gumbo and fried oysters.
However, today was the day that I jumped in the mix of crawfish season. I am adding it to my restaurant bucket list just so that I can check it off. The place is LA Boilers, and they have the best crawfish! Usually, I just go for the corn and potatoes but today those were truly the side dishes. The food was awesome! And I say this post-three hour food coma. 🙂
