Makings Ends Meet

Commence bill pay…

This post is to encourage those of us who feel like we never have enough. For us who often think about the ‘what ifs’ and what we could only do if we brought home a little more each pay period. A special shout out to those of us who are on a once-a-month pay period. Whew…the educator’s struggle is so real.

Basically, keep your heads up. This monthly hiccup enhances our creativity, gratitude, and resilience. We become wiser on how to stretch our funds and negotiate for better deals when making purchases. And truthfully, we’re getting it together. It may just take us longer than others.

I am sharing this verse with you and noting it for myself. There were many times in June and July where I didn’t have what I wanted, but I always had what I needed. I am grateful for that.

Philippians 4:11–13 (ESV)
11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Keep this in mind and take care of what is important so that you have less to worry about next month. (I am talking to me too.)

Have a blessed day!

K. Jones ♥
