Feed Your Focus

This morning I received a text that included a Bible verse about focus. The text was not surprising because the person sends them weekly. Think of them as weekly encouragement messages. (Shout out to Dan!) Today’s note referenced 1 Samuel 30: 1-8.

It said:

“David’s prompt to encourage himself in the Lord was provoked by distressing circumstances. He could then inquire of God to receive instruction for what was next. So, in the face of your obstacles, uncertainty or even distressing situations, simply encourage yourself in the Lord! As you become strengthened (recharged, focused, unmovable, etc.), you are positioning yourself to pursue and recover ALL!

Don’t let what you are going through or waiting on to distract you. Stay encouraged in the Lord. May we find our strength to endure as we become and remain encouraged in You! May we inquire of You to receive Your guidance that we may pursue in order to receive all that You have in store! We believe in Your promises. In Jesus’s name, Amen!”

It was such a timely message. I hope that it encourages you as well.

God Bless
